In an attempt at 'Remembering the fallen heroes on D Day - June 6, 1944' Trump tweeted a short message along with an image. Only problem is: The image conveyed none of the horror of the real invasion, that picture was from a training exercise from 1943. That's the Donald for you.
Anyhow back to the business at hand, today’s episode from our series; Clancy’s journey. Ep 010 Clancy has got things to do; big things. let's go now and see what's cooking
It's Friday evening and Clancy is headed home after school, he took the taxi from Linstead to Ewarton for the first time this week.
As part of the arrangements with Devon, he's to get home, take a shower and get dressed for the evening out. Well, out is probably not the correct word, Clancy has decided to take up Mrs. Myrtle's offer to join them for dinner and at the same time hear what it is that Debbie has to say to him.
Clancy had practice with the team every evening since Tuesday, Devon did stop and watch the game on Thursday and then drop him home.
Devon arrived on time and Clancy was ready and waiting which was (somewhat) surprising even to himself, he's always slow in getting ready.
But not this time, maybe he was trying to get out of the house before his mother gets home, which could be any minute now.
As a matter of fact, as soon as Devon turn the car around and pulled up at the gate, he spotted Ms. Johnson a little distant away, walking towards the house.
Clancy seeing his mother approaching, waited for her, he much rather to come clean about his whereabouts up front than to have her worrying about him and then has to face her wroth later.

Clancy's mother was somewhat reserved yet pointed in her response to her son's plans for the evening, you are of age she said, to be able to make adult decision but be prepared to accept the consequences as well as the rewards.
I raised you to be able to find your way through this world and I know that I will someday have to let you go, just never thought it would be so soon.
Mom I'm going out the road with my friends, it's not like I'm going to catch a flight to some foreign country or something. Yes my son, I know but just remember what I say, it's a great big world out there.
OK mom, see you later...... With that he was gone
Mrs. Myrtle has proven once again to be the most charming of hosts; smart, bubbly and well informed on the latest trends in both music and sports. She challenge Clancy on Marley music trivia, she also knew more than the average person of football on the world scene. Manchester United she say is her team and dare Clancy to go play with them.
Her cooking is world class too as all three sitting at the table agreed. After dinner conversation was obviously designed to "Get to know the real Clancy” and where his head is at. Apart from a few nervous moments, he actually was impressed with himself in the end.
Debbie wanted to continue the conversation around the question of the performing gig at Club Jamaica, and that wasn't all that she was up to, she has been very busy wheeling and dealing it would seem.
Other than the club Jamaica gig, which by the way Clancy has begun to warm up to, she also make mention of a series of shows on the hotel circuit on the north coast.
This really got Clancy's attention. Like A.J. Brown, and others before him, he thinks he could make an impact on those same levels or even to a greater magnitude.
The evening took on an air of great anticipation and excitement as they walked inside the club. He's going to do it, he's going to "try out" for the club's happy hour show.
Clancy is more motivated now than he ever was. Even if he goofed it he told himself, it still would be a plus because he sees it as a training session for greater things to come. However goofing was not on his mind, not tonight.
On the way there Clancy rehearsed three songs; you think I love you for just one thing, and Debbie requested the one which he did that first time; "if I have the world", and the last was Bob Marley’s one love one heart let's get together and feel alright, Mrs. Myrtle used it to challenge him earlier that evening.
It’s like everyone knew he was going to be there and was anticipating his arrival due to the screams and Wolf whistle when they walked in. Bagga-mouth was doing his usual thing and proceed to introduce Clancy... Known to many as 76, some call him baller, Clancy O'Connor is in the house.
Few people know Clancy's full name, so he was a bit surprised that Bagga seems to be one of the few.
Clancy just nod and waves to the adoring crowd as he began to nurse the cold glass which was placed on the table in front of him. Debbie left them to go somewhere.
Since it wasn't to the washroom Clancy assume it was to speak with the manager or someone else in regards to the audition. She came back grinning from ear to ear as she announced that they will put him on as soon as he is ready, Clancy gulped down a month full of the brew, patted his lips with the hanky he was clinging to for some form of support it couldn't possibly provide.
I'm ready he said to which Debbie gave her signal to the MC, who make the introduction after a huge mouthful of chatter painting Clancy as this great up and coming star, singer, Entertainer etc. etc. Most of which Clancy hardly seems to hear anyway, he heard his name; Clancy. ...76....xxx.
