The Author E Lloyd Kelly is on fire is on fire with the launch of his brand new book “76” Clancy’s journey on Amazon/Kindle, but you have been fortunate to get it right here in this series. Here is today’s episode #023:
The smile fell like a brick off of Debbie's face as she screams out loud, covered her mouth with her hands as her knees buckle beneath her. Clancy's first reaction to run to his wife's aid, coupled with the loud noise coming from within the house; surprised he tried to coordinate his legs with his thoughts to no avail.
Clancy’s leg slid from under him, he fell backwards in a twisting motion across the side rail by the step, Devon was just in time to push back preventing him from falling over which could have easily spelled tragedy.
The sight that greets him when Clancy looked inside the house appeared to him like a bouncing bubbling blob with grinning white teeth. Debbie was still down on the pavement her legs buckle beneath her, Clancy recompose himself somewhat and ran to help her up, are you okay?
He asked. Are you okay? By this time the crowd steadily came streaming out the front door and was converging round about her, one by one those faces took on names and became familiar to both of them. The O'Connors, the Logans, Ms. Johnson, they all were there.
What are you doing here? Asked Debbie, Devon tried to ignore Clancy's inquiry directed at him; what's going on? Let's get her inside Mrs. Myrtle said now taking charge. I'm alright Debbie said, I'm alright why are all these people here she asked obviously a bit self-conscious, her place is not in any condition to be entertaining, she herself is no better in that regard she thought.
Don't worry honey, everything is going to be okay, she walked up the front door steps being supported by Clancy and Devon on either side, upon entering the living room, she noticed the difference. the place was in immaculate condition, fresh paint on the wall brand new kitchen counter and cabinets new stove and refrigerator paintings hanging on the wall including her favorite family portraits she dismissed the “helpers” who were holding her back rather than bearing her up as she walks around surveying the house, it looked nothing like she had seen it before but she was more than please with what she saw.
Her chief point of interest was the studio space across the hall, she points her nose in that direction, her mother in toe, it was breath taking the adhering to detail in the outline and texture right down to the clock on the wall leave no doubt in her mind that this was all her mom's doing.
Whose idea was this she asked as she mount the stairs towards the 2nd floor where the 3 bedrooms lay nestled on either side of a short carpeted passageway with the bathroom wedged between two bedrooms to the backside of the house, it all looks like something out of one of those "modern homes" magazine.
But, but the bathroom was what she went upstairs to see and it didn't disappoint, it was breath taking, whirlpool bathtub beside a neck high frosted glass shower chamber, marble tile, gold and white faucets, Basin and toilet, thanks mom she said as she falls on her mother's neck and hugged her.
