I came across this video recently and just got to share it with you all, you know we oft. Time miss out on a huge blessing because we didn’t like the package it came in. my hope is that this will cause us to stop and take stock of how we make decisions on what is good or bad
The video was posted about a week ago on Sat. June 18th and has gone viral with well over 5 million views
The question which was asked on this video post was; Is she right or nah?
Below are some of the answers and comments that followed, what says you?
By the way, this was my response and comments as I did my part in sharing the video on my timeline; Do yourself a favor; listen to this vid. to the end, no matter how hard it is for you to listen. believe me Folks, it's worth every second.
Y'all so petty! She's not talking to the respectable mothers that uplift their children. She's speaking to those that don't and that DO speak to their children that way therefore sometimes, in order to reach a particular audience, you have to be relatable in some way. Stop picking. Y'all got the point! Chill!
Resp. Can never watch a video of someone with a positive message about a certain situation without somebody commenting and bashing
Here come the pickers I was waiting for someone to correct my grammar lmao another point proven I used they instead of their kids however you still know what I'm talking about no point in questioning it unless you honestly don't understand and in that case I apologize.
Loose Ass people it's called illustrating a point... Sometimes you have to speak their language to drive home your message when placing a mirror to their face.
Daphne-Vickie Timmons .... Sometimes you have to use the same language they use for shock value to get them to pause and get it!! She was in shock that someone talked to her like that but it got her attention long enough to make her point.
I might be the parent that she's talking about!! I'm not mad.......or guilty either.......she's just stating facts, that's all!!
Damn she right tho. I see it a lot. Speak life into your kids is the message. Just try to hear pass all the cursing. She said. "Speak life into your kids so life can come up out of them", damn.
Right Hannon Lane.....It's obvious the ones who have a problem with the message are the ones who's guilty!!
Even when dating someone with kids that are not yours biologically, speak life into them. Tell them they are great and will become great someday. Speak life into your woman and show her you love her by treating her kids right! Even when they are not yours.
Yo, I respect this lady that posted this. Maybe a little less cussin tho, (even tho I cuss terrible too haha) but yes much respect to you Lady
Valentina M Harold you are so right. People can't hear pass cursing no matter how great the message is. I enjoyed every minute of her message. I understood the cussin as I curse too. But I heard the message louder than her delivery or cursin! Great post
Dee queenofmycastle McClendon exactly!!! I hate to hear when people cuss at their little kings and queens that way. We have to speak life into our children and partner.
Some would say "there is a way to say it without cussin" but sometimes you have to get a lil raw! Especially to an imbecile.
Also sometimes, to a dumb person, you have to speak their language to reach them. They won't understand the language of a seasoned mature person's advice. In order for it to sink in, you may have to come down and speak to them on their level. That's why she said the same exact words to the lady that spoke death to her kids.
She may be country, she may be young, she may not even have kids; however, she is absolutely RIGHT!!!
She ain't lying I'm weak at the comments
And another thing, we all were taught grammar and English in school/high school but that doesn't mean that we have to speak it correctly all the time....This is social media.......not an interview to impress the hiring manager for a job.......I'ma speak my ebonic language!! And it definitely doesn't mean that I'm dumb with no education.......I grew up in the country, so I'ma talk my country talk!! Just generally speaking!!
Dee Queenofmycastle McClendon I can't name a single person who talks like that in general let alone Infront of kids! She said she has kids. Her kids are going to see this. But guaranteed they won't be shocked at what's coming out her mouth. It's disgusting . Shit you see on tv
she had to make a point to see how she feels
It's not only that about rich peoplr she should of said they teach there children it's ok to bully, kill, rape and ECT. They always saying it's okays daddy get u out of it. People need to brake the chain.
I saw this, I agree w/ her. You can't expect to just talk to children any type of way & think that it doesn't have anything to do with how they're raised!
Damn cousin you got the people all in their feeling lmao
I love this sistah. Yes, she's right on the money. I wish I knew her, I'd love to share some views
"Is she right or nah?"
Why is that even a question??? I've heard women speak like that to toddlers. It's disgusting. She is spot on. Every time I messed up as a kid, my mother always told me "you know better than that." "you're not a bad girl. You may not always make the right decisions, but you are not a bad girl."
If my mother EVER spoke to me in any form like the mother described in the video, I would grow up without a conscience. I wouldn't have a sense if sympathy or self respect. How could I If the person who gave me life spoke to me like they resented my very existence? Build not destroy.
I wasn't speaking for everyone. I said if my mom had spoken to ME that way, then I would have turned out like that. Everyone responds differently. The fact of the matter is, you turning out successful doesn't negate the fact that telling a child they are stupid and cursing at them is abuse
I needed to hear this message cause sometimes as a single mother you get frustrated and aggravated and you don't mean any harm but when the children don't listen after you talk calmly to them you feel a little embarrassed and it appears the only way they listen is by you yelling and screaming...each one teach one! I'm not a perfect mother...I'm a mother...thank you for the message
This is what it was all about. I salute you ladies for recognizing the similarities in behavior and for having the ability to recognize that a change needs to be made!.... Blessings to you all
This was beautiful. I don't even know this woman but I have so much respect for her just from this video. ?? I don't talk to my son negatively or ever call him names, but for sure I'm gona start talking to him in a more positive way when he's doing something bad.. Bc this is so true.??????? every body can take something from this video. Weather it's how you treat your kids or significant other or anybody. Period. Raise each other up.
God Bless you!!! Sometimes tough love is required when you're dealing with ignorance. Talking to her calmly wouldn't get her attention but you best believe she gonna remember that convo!!!
It's true She's right that nobody should be talking to their kids like that. but I just want to make the point my mom was like the lady in the store and she's white. A lot of people saying black moms only treat their kids this way but I know a lot of really good caring black moms and I know some white moms who aren't. It's just not right to say" black moms need to do better". Bad moms need to do better and they come in every color. There are too many amazing and LOVING black moms.
I come across this on a daily basis. I believe in the message 100%. So many young boys running around here psychologically damaged with nothing to live for but the detrimental decisions of the moment. Their mothers knew no better because that's the way they were raised and that's the culture that they come from. I pray that this video will affect at least one mother and change her perspective. I'm tired of seeing this mess too.
That's it, now; what says you?
